Teletherapy available to new and established clients.
Are you feeling down, anxious, stressed out, cooped up? Are your kids struggling? The COVID-19 stay-in-place order and the financial strains from job loss and layoff are stressful for everyone. You don’t have to wait to get help. You can build a strong, supportive, and collaborative relationship with an experienced psychologist for our staff from the comfort and safety of your home. Our teletherapy services use a confidential and secure video service. From your coziest chair, you can work with one of our licensed doctoral psychologists to find solutions and help you meet your goals. Teletherapy is covered by most health insurers. For some, there is no copay during this crisis.
If you are a new client, a quick and easy way to get started is to complete a brief form online. This will give us all the information we need to get you started. We do have reduced staffing levels right now, but we will do our best to get back to you quickly.
Unfortunately, psychological and neuropsychological testing and biofeedback treatment require face to face contact. These services are not available during the Covid 19 emergency.
Decades of experience and a broad range of psychological treatment strategies lead to lasting change.
A strong, collaborative relationship
Whether you are looking for help for the first time, or you have tried medication and/or counseling with little success, you have come to the right place. At the NeuroDevelopment Center, you can build a strong, supportive, and collaborative relationship with an experienced psychologist. We will help you understand your difficulties and implement treatment solutions that work for you. We won’t just listen, nod our heads, and sympathize. We will help you take active steps towards change and to sustain this hard work over the longer term.
Traditional and innovative treatment
Conventional treatments like medication and counseling are often helpful. But many people continue to struggle to overcome the obstacles they face in life due to ADHD, depression, anxiety, autism, learning disabilities, and brain injury. Many go from doctor to doctor. Some finally just give up. At the NeuroDevelopment Center, we never give up. We are always searching for promising new treatment methods. That’s why we follow the research on new treatment approaches very closely. Conclusive research can take decades to complete. So we also make available to you innovative treatments that have early research support. We hope you will learn more in these pages about the solutions we have to offer, and then decide to join us.
In individual therapy at the NeuroDevelopment Center, you can build a strong, supportive, and truly collaborative relationship with one of our psychologists. We use methods for psychotherapy proven effective in research, such as cognitive- behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy, collaborative problem solving therapy, and and insight-oriented or dynamic psychotherapy.
Especially for children and adolescents, but also sometimes for adults, your treatment may involve the family. This may focus on improving relationships and communication in the family. It can also involve family members providing crucial assistance and support.
We offer treatment groups for children with ADHD and for their parents. We also offer social development groups for children on the autism spectrum.
Neurofeedback, also called EEG biofeedback or neurotherapy, is a research proven way to help you improve your brain function through intensive brain training exercises. Although the technology is quite sophisticated, the process is simple, painless, and non-invasive. It is just learning.

Heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback provides an easy and very concrete way to see how anxious, irritable, angry, or stressed you are and to see what strategies help you to reduce arousal and get calm again. During HRV biofeedback sessions we will help you learn to relax your muscles and your mind, reduce negative or anxious thought patterns, and learn to slow and regulate your breathing.

At any age, we help people move forward and thrive.
At NeuroDevelopment Center, we help kids find a brighter future. Kids think and communicate differently. At the NeuroDevelopment Center, we speak “kid”! We have found that when you speak their language, children like getting help and are active partners in change. We like to reach out to their entire network: family, friends, school, and even social environments. We recognize that their parents are their main guides in life, so parents are always integral to their treatment. Because kids are so different one from the other, there are many options – individual play therapy, family therapy, groups, biofeedback, even computerized attention training! That way we can find an approach that is the right one for your child. Learn more about our
therapy options for children and adolescents..
You know how hard it is to change. If lasting change was easy, you would not be struggling now. We will help you do the hard work of change. At the NeuroDevelopment Center, many of our clients have found their way forward even after after years of failed treatment. We will help you understand your difficulties and find the solutions that work for you – solutions that last decades beyond the end of treatment.
Learn More. Research is showing what most cultures have known for eons: with aging comes wisdom. Unfortunately, in our culture, anxiety, depression, and stress often come with aging too. We can help with these very common difficulties in aging. We can also help you to stay sharp as you age. Although you can’t stop yourself from ageing, brain science is increasingly showing that your mental skills do not have to decline as you age. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, good quality sleep, and keeping mentally active and challenged all contribute to maintaining your mental edge and sharpness. Our cutting edge brain training methods will help too.

“Our son is a 13 year old with Asperger’s Syndrome who has struggled with trying to decipher the world around him his whole life. The Friendship Groups at the NeuroDevelopment Center have been no less than a miracle for him. He learned that it is possible for him to make and keep friends. He learned what it means to be a friend, how friends communicate with one another and how to be a part of a group. These simple joys had eluded him all his life until now. This therapy approach has allowed him to “connect the dots” of his life more than he has ever been able to do before and we are thrilled to see him so happy. Dinner time is now a pleasure in our household since we can actually have a real family conversation. Amazing!”

“My son is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with non-verbal learning disorder. He was challenged every day to control his emotions and manage his frustrations with everyday situations. He would become very upset when he perceived situations as unfair or negative…He would become overly aggressive, (showed) ragelike behavior, and (was) extremely defiant to everyone. ….After approximately 10 sessions of neurofeedback, we began to see a difference. He is now handling the same situations with grace. He is handling the loss of football games and recess at school without incident. He is a better friend and is in better control of his emotions.”
